BIOGRAPHY

Stephen Della Casa is a lens-based artist focusing on social issues, born in Canada to German and Italian parents. Based in Canada, Stephen’s interest in human rights began in the 1980s through his involvement with Amnesty International, Northumberland United Way, and the Northumberland Hills Hospital Board of Directors. Stephen holds a BA in Law from Carleton University. He returned to producing art in the early 2000s and has since published three books: a collection of photographs from Northumberland County, Lost Villages, and Paris-Venice 2010. Stephen is currently attending Ontario College of Art and Design University and is nearing completion of his BFA Honours degree in Photography.
