BIOGRAPHY

Stephen Della Casa is a lens-based artist known for focusing on social issues. He was born in Canada to German and Italian parents and has been actively involved in human rights since the 1980s. He has collaborated with organizations such as Amnesty International, Northumberland United Way, and the Northumberland Hills Hospital Board of Directors. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in law from Carleton University and had a thirty-five-year career in hospitality. In the early 2000s, he resumed his artistic pursuits and has since authored four books, including a collection of photographs from Northumberland County, Lost Villages, Paris-Venice 2010, and The Beer Store, Collective Spaces. Recently, Stephen completed an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from OCAD University.
